However with no succession planning in place, and the owners looking towards retirement, Copernicus were engaged in 2004 to undertake a full business review.

The options of both a business sale or the recruitment of a management team to develop the business were considered.

A strategy was agreed which has taken the business in to multiple outlets ( 5 as at 31.12.07), a strong own brand with products sourced internationally, in a business model which now has the capability to be franchised.

Copernicus have been retained throughout this period to ensure the continued development of the business, the people and the achievement of the strategic goals. Sales 2007 were £ 3.82M returning EBIT of £446k
